Last year I went to Mohegan Sun Casino in Conneticut with my boyfriend. It was really fun because the Casino had so many features and live entertainment. I am not that much of a big gambler but I dont mind betting only a couple of dollars (I'm not that greedy). THe reason for this is because I HATE losing money especially when I dont have it like that. My boyfriend on the other hand loves to gamble even though there is a 50/50 chance he could lose all his money. I guess the only way to deal with going to a casino is going there with a mindset that their is a possibilty that I am going to lose all of my money. I remember when I went with him one time and he spent 500 dollars lost 400 and gaine 3,000. I waas happy for him but I had to basically drag him out of the casion before he lost the whole 3,000.
My aunt has a serious gambling problem as well just like my boyfriend. When me and my family went to go visit her upstate, we went to the casino out there just to check it out. We stayed for a couple of hours but after a while i decided that it was time for me to leave. Me, my brother, and my mother was waiting for my aunt to finnish up but then we realized that one of us would have to go and get her because she will not leave on her own accord. I decided I would go get her and drag her out if I had to. While she was at the machine I told her it was time to go and she was so focused on the machine. It was like she was a zombie or something. Finally she was like ok lets cash out I am ready to go. I cashed out with her the 50 dollars that I won. I spent 5 dollars and won 50 dollars. I acutally needed that 50 to play my phone bill becasue I was fresh out of money at the moment so I decided to stop and not play anymore. Like I said I am not greedy. Well anyway, after we cashed out she told me I would have to talk to her because she is known to hit up a machine on the way out lol. Well I was trying to keep her mind focused but she basically couldnt hold it any longer and decided to bet at a machine that was right next to the exit lol. I coudldnt believe her. Well she bet 20 dollars and lost it with in 2 seconds lol. That is the reason why I quit as soon as I got that 50 dollars because I am not that content with losing money especially 20 dollars. Well after she lost her 20 she was finally ready to go.
Although my aunt lost her 20 dollars, a lot of people in that casion were hitting big. It was like the machines were destined to help people get money for some reason. Now I am not saying that all of the slot machines were lucky and everybody won, but a lot of people were cashing out. You know Now that I think about it, I think I should find out what the name of the casion is. The only way for me to do that is on the website that helps you find casino's in your area and all over. It also helps you look for the type of casino that you would want to go too. Some people only like to go to casions with only slots or slot machines. The Online Casino Edition website is great for searching for the casino of your interest. I personally don't really like casion's with tables because I never win at them.

HAHAHA! The only tip I have for you is DON'T! The machines etc are set up in the house favor. Even tables are in the house's favor, because consider this, they have a heck of a lot more money than you, so even if you're winning now, it is only a matter of time before they begin to win and take it all back.
ReplyDeletePart of the reason for gambling addiction is the "high" you get from winning a good size amount of money. People want to repeat that happy feeling, only they fail to realize that it was a fluke. Machines are preset with programming that makes them hit only so often. There is NO way to tell when/if a particular machine will ever hit.
If you go to gamble, I can sit at a black jack table for hours on 20 dollars and play non stop. But I go with a set amount in mind that I can "afford to lose" and once I hit that pre-set amount, I stop. For me, it's not about gambling to win, it's about going to have fun playing games, if I ever win, it's just a bonus and a woohoo, but it's not something that I plan on happening because I'm realistic and know that everything is set up so that the "house" always wins.
lol girl tell me about it!!!! MY boyfriend and my aunt both don't have a limit or a set limit so they start getting crazy with it. Actually my aunt is way worse than my boyfriend. She will keep going and going for as long as she can take it. I have a big problem with losing money so I will only bet a little bit and then as soon as a win something I quit lol
ReplyDeleteIt's like a scrach card, they let you win a small amount of money so then you buy another therefore giving the company more money of course. Anyway I never gone to a casino but would like too sometime, even though I am too not a gamble either.
ReplyDeleteYea I knw I acutally work with guys at my office who are constantly buying scratch cards every day. They run to the store about every 2 hours to buy like 5 cards each everyday for the past 15 years. I dont see the point because even if they win 500 dollars they are actually just getting like 2 percent of the money they have spent over the years on the scratch cards. The would have to win like over a couple of million in order for it to be like a real win. Its a shame
ReplyDeleteI guess they have more of a chance if they keep buying them, but they might never win a large amount of money. It's a pretty good system though that they have and the companies probably do make loads of money from it.
ReplyDeleteyea the company makes money because they know that its a 1 and a half chance that the consumer will hit big so u advertise big money which will make them spend a lot of money to get the big money. the problem is that when u spend over 20,000 dollars in tickets, if u won 22,000 dollars on a ticket all u really won is 2,000 dollars because u spent 20,000 dollars in tickets so ur really just getting the money back that u spent
